The Tarot Cards

My tarot deck
of choice is the 'Thoth' deck, created by Aleister Crowley. These are
the cards that for me have the most appropriate symbolism to the way in
which I read. All of the cards displayed on this site are from this deck.
This is a very popular deck, and is easy to purchase should you wish to
try it for yourself. For more information about the Thoth deck, Aleister
Crowley, and the cards' artist, Lady Frieda Harris, see my links
page.
The standard tarot
deck is made of of 72 cards, 22 major arcana cards, and 56 minor arcana.
The minor arcana cards are seperated into four sections, wands (fire),
disks (earth), swords (air) and cups (water), each relating four different
spheres of life. Each card has a different meaning, and the interaction
of the cards with each other, their individual places in the reading,
is read as a whole. One card is very much influenced by the cards surrounding
it.
A tarot spread
is a means of recieving psychic communication and relating it to 'real
life'. It is a tool, rather like a telephone, that enables me to understand
messages from my spirit guides.
